TYPE 1
Contractual partner & billing partner

A Type 1 location is the required first location in the DiGiDO.Data Exchange, which is authenticated and used as a contractual partner or billing partner of DiGiDO.
- This location type must use an existing GLN or DiGiDO-GLN.
- Furthermore, this type is displayed in the DiGiDO participant overview and can be selected as the transferor, transporter, and transferee.
TYPE 2
Additional location

- A Type 2 location is any additional location or any location beyond Type 1.
- This location type must use an existing GLN or DiGiDO-GLN.
- In addition, this type is displayed in the DiGiDO participant overview and can be selected as a transferor, transporter, or recipient (e.g., branch office, recycling center, construction site, etc.).
TYPE 3
Location participants

- A Type 3 participant must be assigned to a Type 1 or Type 2 location. This assignment can be determined by the contracting party itself.
- The participant has limited functionality: the participant communicates exclusively with the assigned location and not directly with other types.
- Furthermore, it is not displayed in the DiGiDO participant overview.
